Sailing towards the Future, Embracing Youth through Practical Experience
On the morning of July 14th, the summer social practice team from Fuzhou Maynooth International Engineering College visited Yoana Umbrella Company, accompanied by their supervising teacher. Led by the head of Yoana’s Technology Center and the secretary of the Youth League Branch, Zhou Yingying, the group delved into the production workshop, witnessing and learning about the production process of umbrellas firsthand.
During the practical experience in the production environment, the teachers and students learned that the production of an umbrella involves processes such as raw material procurement, umbrella frame production, umbrella surface production, umbrella handle (end) production, sewing, and final assembly.
Following that, the group was guided by the lecturer to visit the exhibition hall of the Strait Technology Innovation Center, where they further explored how the Strait Technology Innovation Center, as a project of Fujian Yoana Umbrella Industry Technology Co., Ltd., not only meets Yoana’s own R&D needs but also empowers the entire umbrella industry with research and innovation capabilities.
This practical activity not only provided a platform for students to have a close encounter with the company but also deepened their understanding of the umbrella manufacturing industry, laying a foundation for their future contributions to society.
